Cyprus, January 2022
On January 4th the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra began the Cyprus tour. The orchestra takes part in the “Russian Winter” arts festival, which takes place in different cities of Cyprus. The orchestra went on tour with a new show program, which included popular New Year and Christmas tunes. Also, the artists of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra will present a performance for kids with Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, as well as funny, bright, adorable characters who will put a real New Year’s show that will grant an unforgettable emotions to all the listeners! In Cyprus, the orchestra’s concerts will take place in Nicosia, Paphos, Larnaca and Limassol. The organizers of the “Russian Winter” festival are the Embassy of Russia, the Russian House in Cyprus and the Vyacheslav Zarenkov’s Charity Foundation “The Creative World”.
Cyprus, April 2021
Today is the first day of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra Cyprus tour!
The concerts will be held as part of the Starry Hour International Project dedicated to Cosmonautics Day. The artists will perform recognizable melodies from Soviet and foreign films and popular musical compositions.
Performances will take place up to April 15 at the sites of the Russian House and the Tamas Metropolis in Nicosia, and the Patihio municipal theater in Limassol.
Cyprus, October 2019
From 3 to 6 of October, 2019, a tour over Cyprus begins for Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra. Performances will take place in Nicosia and Limassol. Concerts of the Orchestra are a part of the International project of Russian Embassy and Russian center of culture and science «Russian Theatrical Seasons at Cyprus», which organization is patronized by the president of Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis. All shows of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra will be directed by the all time leader, Honorary artist of Russia, Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod region, professor Evgeniy Petrov. Shows will include highly memorable tunes from soviet and foreign movies and other popular tunes and songs.

Belarus. September 2019
On 6th of December 2019 the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra starts the tour over Belarus. With support of Nizhny Novgorod Region administration and personally its Governor G.S.Nikitin, in 11 days orchestra performers will participate in the celebration of 1000 years anniversary of Brest, perform at the City Day of Gomel, present the show in Minsk and also represent culture and traditions of Nizhny Novgorod region in other cities of Belarus. All shows of the ensemble will be directed by the all time leader, Honorary artist of Russia, Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod region, professor Evgeniy Petrov. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra will present the show program, consisting of popular works of soviet, Russian and Belorussian composers.
Banja Luka, Republika Srpska. May 2019
From May 11th, 2019, to May 22th, 2019, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra as a part of official delegation of Nizhny Novgorod region will participate in the Days of Nizhny Novgorod region in Republika Srpska, in the city of Banja Luka.
As a part of celebration, dedicated to this event, the orchestra will perform four solo shows in several cities of Serbia.
The concert program of the orchestra will present works, showcasing cultural traditions of the Nizhny Novgorod region, prepared by the ensemble specially for these events.
FIFA 2018 Nizhny Novgorod
Participation in the grand opening of fan festival in Nizhny Novgorod as a part of FIFA World Cup 2018.
On July 12–14, 2018, in Belgorod of Belgorod region will happen the II Parade of brass orchestras of Russia «First fireworks of Victory», devoted to 75th anniversary of the Kursk battle and the Tank battle of Prokhorovka.
Parade will include 28 brass ensembles, including such participants as Central military orchestra of Ministry of Defense, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra and others fron Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Tula, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Istra, city of Belgorod and Belgorod region. There is one very unique participant – the only mounted brass orchestra of Republic of Tuva!
The total number of guests and participants to march in a musical parades – over 800.
Main project events will take place at the Zvonnitsa Memorial at the Prokhorovskoe field near Prokhorovka on July 12th as a part of «Third battlefield of Russia» celebration.

Participation in the international festival of brass orchestras «Solin Brass Fest» from August, 31st to September, 6th.
On September 9, 2017, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra participated in the celebration of 870th anniversary of Moscow. A concert by the Church of Christ the Savior became a gift from the Nizhny Novgorod region to the City Day.
Participation in celebration events of 450 years since Orel foundation on August 5–6.
EXPO 2015. Milan. Italy
On September 25th, 2015, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra performed at EXPO 2015 Milan, Italy. Our orchestra opened days of Russian culture in Milan.
From July 31 to August 4, the ensemble performed a special show program in the Republic of Belarus. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra, the cultural honor of Russia, gave a big concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in Minsk at the House of Moscow. For 15 years, the team has properly represented Russia in the international scene. The orchestra is a member of National and International competitions and festivals. The orchestra playbook includes works of various styles and genres from classic to modern jazz compositions, adaptations of Russian folk songs. An integral part of the collective is a pop band and an show ballet. Here are opera classics, musical parts, romances, folk dances and songs. The Nizhny Novgorod region and the Republic of Belarus are connected by many years of friendship and cooperation in various areas: from agriculture to nuclear energy. Theatrical tours, cultural and ensembles exchanges are a tradition. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra is proud of its participation in the cultural program at the Olympics 2014 in Sochi as one of the best ensembles in Russia. In addition to the Minsk show, which lasted until the late late evening, the group had 3 shows in Brest, dedicating their performance to the City Day and Airborne Forces Day. The orchestra perfectly presented the Nizhny Novgorod region, opening up new opportunities for cultural cooperation.
On June 20th the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra participated in National festival of brass orchestras «On the Hills of Manchuria». The event was a part of the first performance of the famous Russian waltz «On the Hills of Manchuria», dedicated to warriors of Mokshan rgt, died in Russian – Japanese war of 1905. Festival also included orchestras of Samara, Syzran and Ulianovsk. Shows of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra gained success at various popular stages of Samara.
From February 25 to March 4, 2014 the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra has been participating in 81st International Lemon Festival (Fete du Citron), that’s been taking place in Menton (France). The First Lemon Festival was organized by local administration back in 1934. The Festival happened to be such a success, that it became annual, attraction more and more people every year.
The Festival is held every year in the end of February – beginning of March and lasts a little more than two weeks. This year the main motive of the festival is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. More than 300 master craftsmen worked on creation of figures and various panos from clementines and lemons, with over 140 tons of citruses spent.
In 2014 the total number of Lemon Festival in Menton reached 250 thousand of tourists. It is the first of the events of such kind on French south, losing to Nice Carnival and F1 Monaco Gran-Prix.
The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra was the only ensemble to represent Russia at the festival of such level and was recognized to be the best by the organizers after their performance.
Winter Olympics 2014
Between February 7-14, 2014 The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra has been participation in social events at XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi. Our ensemble performed at various stages and objects of the Olympic park with a special program, including modern adaptations of russian folk songs and popular foreign hits. Program also included Orchestra soloists and show ballet. The Orchestra performances were greeted with warm applause of Olympics guests and participants, and also mentioned by many Russian and foreign media.
We cannot ignore the fact that the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra was the only brass orchestra to be included in the official cultural program of IIXX Winter Olympics 2014.
In August 2013, between 16–26, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra has been on tour over France. The Orchestra had shows and parades at Dax, Mende, Carmaux.
Between April 2-7, 2013 the NGO ensemble has been on tour over Spain, in a wonderful city of Murcia, where it participated in three nationwide festivals. Spaniards were greeting us with joy and warmth, shows were given a big round of applause.
NNGO participated in the “Russian regions marathon” in Sochi between between 21 of July and 12 of August of Cultural Olympics “Sochi 2014”. The best ensembles of 30 Russian regions participated in the Marathon, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Saratov. NNGO presented two programs – one with Russian music and the other with music, songs and dances of the world. The committee board saw the true value in our ensemble performance and reassured us that the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra will participate in the Social Events of «Sochi 2014» Olympics.
Currently we are working on a new program for the relevant representation of Russia in 2014.
Poland and Germany 2012
Between May 31st and June 10th the NNGO went on a tour over the Europe: participated in the international brass orchestra festival in Poland and performed several solo shows in Essen, Germany.
Hong Kong 2012
For many people around the globe New Year is the favorite and long awaited holiday. Artists of our ensemble had a chance to celebrate 2012 New Year’s Eve twice: first time in the hometown of Nizhny Novgorod and second in a far east city of Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong the NNGO participated in a grand night parade, celebrating Chinese New Year and performed several solo shows.
Chinese New Year in Hong Kong is one of the biggest and grandiose show of the planet. The night parade had 12 foreign and 18 local ensembles. The parade was opened by united dance of ensembles from the USA, Moldavia (Repede Dance Group), and Russia (NNGO) for a popular Chinese song.
The parade marched central streets of Hong Kong. All the action was captured by TV media, broadcasting the event to central channels of China and the global internet.
Headline performers of the parade were NNGO and The Vibe.
Residents and city guests were greeting NNGO shows with excited applause and asked for more. The NNGO artists were happy to perform again and again, despite the cold, new year weather in Hong Kong.
Germany, Mainz 2010
In October 23 and 24, 2010, in the city of Mainz, Germany, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra participated in concert in the name of 125 anniversary of «Schott AG» company and performed a charity show in support of all suffered from wildfires in Nizhny Novgorod region in the summer of 2010.
Between 13 to 25th of August, 2010, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra was on a tour over France: Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée , Dax, La Feria, 111-eme Fete des Fleurs de Luchon, Carmeux.
In July of 2009 the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra took part in the International festival-competition of brass orchestras, that happened at Balatonfoldvar, Hungary.
In July of 2008 NNGO participated in the International festival-competition in Cisterino, Italy. The Orchestra proved to be one of the best professional ensembles and won the Grand-Prix.
In November of 2007 the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra participated in the International festival-competition in Monastir, Tunisia.
