X Interregional Festival of Brass Bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020”
On September 11, the opening ceremony of the 10th Interregional Festival of Brass Bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020” took place. At the opening ceremony, held at the Palace of Culture named after A.M. Dobrynin, the festival participants were greeted by representatives of the Department of Culture, the chief conductor of the festival – Anatoly Vasilyevich Zubarev, and musicians of the Municipal Brass Band of the city of Yaroslavl. A video greeting was sent by the chairman of the Brass Society named after Valeria Khalilova Mikhail Arkadevich Bryzgalov.
The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia, Honorary Citizen of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Professor Yevgeny Petrov took part in the opening ceremony of the X interregional festival of brass bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares 2020”.
After the opening ceremony on the stage of the Community Center named after A.M. Dobrynin for the gathered brass music lovers, the orchestra performed the most popular compositions from its repertoire. The orchestra and its soloists Dmitry Zubarev, Tatiana Volkova, and Daria Kalinina performed such famous compositions as “Lilies of the Valley”, “Eternal Love”, “Thaw” and many others. The concert of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra ended with a premiere – at the end of the concert the song of Nizhny Novgorod citizen Maxim Rosenberg “We are Russians!”
