“Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020”
On September 12, participants of the 10th festival of brass bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020” marched in the center of Yaroslavl in a march-parade. Orchestras from Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Uglich, Istra, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rybinsk took part in this colorful procession. Numerous spectators greeted the musicians with applause and smiles along the way. The march-parade ended on the Soviet square, where the orchestras gathered to demonstrate their skills in a parade-concert.
The concert was opened by a performance by the combined orchestra, that involved over 300 musicians, playing Alexander Khalilov’s medley “Festival – 2020”. Then the orchestras held demonstration performances. Each group showed individuality and its own style, delighting the audience with performances of works of different genres and defile.
The final chord of the concert program was the awarding of the festival participants.
