💥 The tour of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra on the island of Cyprus was a great success. Today, April 12, 2021, in the city of Nicosia, the orchestra artists took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Yuri Gagarin. The ceremony was attended by: Stanislav Osadchiy, Russian Ambassador to Cyprus, Konstantinos Yorkadzhis, Mayor of Nicosia, Alina Radchenko, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Cyprus, Georgios Prodromou, Honorary Consul of Russia in Limassol and Paphos, Igor Nosonov, Chairman of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in Cyprus, Tasos Christofis, Professor and Rector of the University of Cyprus and other officials. In his speech, the Mayor of Nicosia, Konstantinos Yorkajis, personally thanked the orchestra for the excellent performances on the island and expressed hope for new endeavors. 🚀🎷🎺

Today is the first day of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra Cyprus tour!
The concerts will be held as part of the Starry Hour International Project dedicated to Cosmonautics Day. The artists will perform recognizable melodies from Soviet and foreign films and popular musical compositions.
Performances will take place up to April 15 at the sites of the Russian House and the Tamas Metropolis in Nicosia, and the Patihio municipal theater in Limassol.

We are happy to bring you the great news – the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra won the Grand Prix of the festival competition of brass bands “TANKOGRAD – THE IMMORTAL ORCHESTRA IN THE CITIES OF ZEALOUS LABOR” in the “Professional Orchestra” nomination! Thanks to the members of the jury for the high assessment of our work and we look forward to meeting our live audience during upcoming performances, where we will surely delight them with the highest level of showsmanship!

💥 We were awarded Diplomas of the International Competition of Brass Bands and Big Bands, held in Lobez (Poland)! The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra was awarded the title of the Grand Prix Laureate in the Professional Orchestras nomination, and the Cover Band took First Place! Also, the soloists of the orchestra Tatyana Volkova (vocals) and Alexander Komarov (flugelhorn) were also awarded Diplomas!

💥The international historical and educational musical project “The Marches of Our Victories” held in Saint Petersburg has come to an end. Over 30 professional and amateur brass bands from Russia and near-abroad countries took part in the online competition. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra was awarded the Grand Prix Diploma for the performance of Vasily Agapkin’s legendary march “Farewell of Slavianka.”

💫 The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra participated in the VIII International Festival of Brass and Jazz Music named after Yuri Batuyev “FANFARE OF DNIESTER”. This year the festival was held completely online. Thanks to the organizers and personally to Dmitry Sheremet for the professional approach, the development of the wind performing arts, and the opportunity for so many bands to demonstrate their skills.

On September 30, in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, state awards were presented to residents of the region for services in the spheres of health care, culture, education, agriculture, industry, transport, and the media. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra under the direction of the chief conductor of the orchestra Evgeny Petrov provided the musical accompaniment for this grand event.

On September 20, the festival of military and brass bands “Fanfare of Victory”, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, ended in Perm.

For three days the city enjoyed performances by the best Russian performers of this special, uplifting music. Musicians from Perm, Kazan, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Cheboksary performed songs of the war years, famous marches, popular pop songs, jazz compositions.

For three days of the festival, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra performed at three concert venues in Perm and won the hearts of the audience, experienced in the art of the brass!

The final event of the festival was a parade of military bands with a dance show and modern light effects. We offer you to see vivid photos of this holiday in the sports complex named after V.P. Sukharev.

The first rehearsal of the combined orchestra of the “Fanfare of Victory” festival took place today in Perm. Orchestras from Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, and Cheboksary lined up for a performance in one formation. The grand opening of the festival will take place on the Esplanade tonight! After the performance of the combined orchestra on the main stage, there will be a concert of all the bands taking part in the festival!
