On September 12, participants of the 10th festival of brass bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020” marched in the center of Yaroslavl in a march-parade. Orchestras from Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Uglich, Istra, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rybinsk took part in this colorful procession. Numerous spectators greeted the musicians with applause and smiles along the way. The march-parade ended on the Soviet square, where the orchestras gathered to demonstrate their skills in a parade-concert.

The concert was opened by a performance by the combined orchestra, that involved over 300 musicians, playing Alexander Khalilov’s medley “Festival – 2020”. Then the orchestras held demonstration performances. Each group showed individuality and its own style, delighting the audience with performances of works of different genres and defile.

The final chord of the concert program was the awarding of the festival participants.

On September 12, the opening ceremony of the celebration of the 1010th anniversary of Yaroslavl was held at Strelka. Participants of the X Interregional Festival of Brass Bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020”, the vocal group “Unison” and Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Irina Borisovna Tsirkova were among the central characters of the big event.

 

On September 11, the opening ceremony of the 10th Interregional Festival of Brass Bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares – 2020” took place. At the opening ceremony, held at the Palace of Culture named after A.M. Dobrynin, the festival participants were greeted by representatives of the Department of Culture, the chief conductor of the festival – Anatoly Vasilyevich Zubarev, and musicians of the Municipal Brass Band of the city of Yaroslavl. A video greeting was sent by the chairman of the Brass Society named after Valeria Khalilova Mikhail Arkadevich Bryzgalov.

The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia, Honorary Citizen of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Professor Yevgeny Petrov took part in the opening ceremony of the X interregional festival of brass bands “Yaroslavl Fanfares 2020”.

After the opening ceremony on the stage of the Community Center named after A.M. Dobrynin for the gathered brass music lovers, the orchestra performed the most popular compositions from its repertoire. The orchestra and its soloists Dmitry Zubarev, Tatiana Volkova, and Daria Kalinina performed such famous compositions as “Lilies of the Valley”, “Eternal Love”, “Thaw” and many others. The concert of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra ended with a premiere – at the end of the concert the song of Nizhny Novgorod citizen Maxim Rosenberg “We are Russians!”

Before the home match between Torpedo and St. Petersburg SKA, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra again performed fiery melodies for the fans, which carried a charge of positive emotions so necessary before this difficult match. Even Torrick and Victoria couldn’t resist and started dancing !!!

The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra continues to prepare for participation in two brass band festivals to be held in Yaroslavl and Perm. In Yaroslavl, the orchestra will take part in the Opening Concert of the Festival on September 11 and in the Celebration of the City Day, which will take place on September 12. And in Perm, place of a military and brass bands festival of “Fanfare of Victory”, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. During three days, from 18 to 20 September, the city will be immersed in the sound of classical, song, marching, dance, jazz, and popular music performed by famous military and brass bands of the country.

Exactly 75 years ago, the Second World War ended. Today, on September 3, 2020, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath and a garland of Glory at the monument “The Hero” boat. The event was attended by representatives of the authorities, public organizations, volunteers.

On August 30, 2020, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra took part in the closing ceremony of the International Army Games “ArMY – 2020” “Safe Route”. The orchestra performed the national anthems of the countries participating in this competition – Russia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Belarus. Also, beautiful girls from the show ballet performed for the participants of the competition and numerous guests.

Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin, as part of a joint visit to Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 23, laid the foundation of a future monument to doctors taking part in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic on its territory. The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra provided musical accompaniment for this event.
