Sound studio
The studio’s control room was designed and built in 2012 by our sound engineer, Alexey Smirnov, under the english acoustic designer Philip Newell technology.
In 2019 the sound studio was reconstructed by Dmitry Kalyabin and now is one of the biggest recording studios in Nizhny Novgorod.
Many various projects were created in it: concert programs of Winter Olympics “Sochi 2014”, opening and closing programs for fan zones of “FIFA 2018” world cup, annual programs “Victory Day”, “National Unity Day” and “Slavic Writing Day”. Here we recorded music and collaboration with the orchestra for David McCormick, Tonći Ćićerić, Jozef Čikota, Maksim Emelianyhcev, Alexandr Morozov, Ian Marty, “Elisium”, “FPG”, “7000$”, Pavel Pikovsky, Felix Lahuti, chamber choir “Nizhny Novgorod”, youth choir of Nizhny Novgorod and many others.
The studio isn’t solely adapted for rehearsals and NNGO recordings. Its capabilities allow to work with large ensembles – orchestras, big bands, choirs. The hall volume of 609 m3 and square of 122 m2 is suitable for simultaneous recording of ensembles, as well as for overlaying of separate groups of instruments and soloists. Moving screens give flexibility in sound isolation of particular musicians from the main cast.
Multichannel recording and mixing system is built with Universal Audio Apollo X equipment, that can not only record 48 channels at the same time, but also programm it with UAD plugins in real time.
