On July 2, President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded Nizhny Novgorod the honorary title “City of Labor Valor”!

“The example of Nizhny Novgorod is indicative. The city’s factories have the largest number of awards for labor heroism during the Great Patriotic War, and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of those who worked without sleep or rest under the bombing at these factories, have collected 846 thousand signatures”, the head of state emphasized.

The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the Valiant homefront workers of Gorky.

The opening of the monument was timed to coincide with the awarding of the honorary title “City of Labor Valor” to Nizhny Novgorod.

In honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War as part of the “International Immortal Orchestra” project (immortalorchestra.com). The Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra joined the movement, performing Vasily Agapkin’s march “The Farewell of a Slavianka” with thirty Russian and foreign bands.

See how the shooting of the video of the famous march of Vasily Agapkin “Farewell of the Slavianka” took place. The performance of this work, significant for many generations, is timed to coincide with the Victory Parade in the cities of Russia. Also, performing this march, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra joins the “International Immortal Orchestra” action in memory of the musicians who died on the battlefields during the Great Patriotic War.

On June 22, 1941, German fascist troops invaded the territory of our state. The Great Patriotic War began, which lasted 3 years, 10 months and 18 days, or 1418 difficult, terrible days and nights. The war took 27 million lives from our Motherland. Remembering the victims and honoring the memory of the Hero-Defenders is our sacred duty and the little that can be done in gratitude for the preservation of our Motherland.

The Nizhny Novgorod region took part in a large-scale action dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, initiated by the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District.

 

?In Nizhny Novgorod, the great song, which became a symbol of Victory, was performed together by the soloists of the Nizhny Novgorod State Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.S. Pushkin Viktor Ryauzov, Tatyana Garkushova, Alexander Zubarenkov, soloists of the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra Dmitry Zubarev, Tatyana Volkova, Dmitry Maresev, the Nizhny Novgorod Municipal Folk Song Ensemble “Lyubava”, the vocal group of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Volga District of the Russian National Guard troops. They were also joined by the participants of the show “Voice. Children “Daria Lebedeva and Egor Grigoriev, performers from the cover group” Jack Daniels Time ” Vladimir Toropygin and Andrey Panshin.

 

☝?At the beginning of the video, its participants noted the region’s contribution to the Great Victory. During the war years, a unique military-industrial complex of enterprises was created in the region. Almost all types of defenses were produced here – weapons and equipment for the ground forces, aviation and navy, explosives and jet fuel. The Krasnoye Sormovo plant supplied the front with more than 12 thousand T-34 tanks and 27 submarines. Every third domestic fighter was produced at the Gorky Aviation Plant. S. Ordzhonikidze. Gorky residents took an active part in donating blood for transfusion to wounded soldiers. In total, over 92 thousand liters of blood were sent to the front during the war years.

⭐ The Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Mari El, the Udmurt Republic, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Samara Region, and the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the movement of “Our Victory Day”. The Nizhny Novgorod Region passes the baton to the Perm Territory.

On September 25th, 2015, the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate Orchestra performed at EXPO 2015 Milan, Italy. This show was a part of Viva Russia festival.
